After a suicide attempt, the groom wanted the bride «soon to die». A month later they got married

In the SMS, sent by the resident of the Newport (Wales, UK) to his bride after attempting suicide, he wished her a «soon to die» — and yet a month later, the couple married.

Now, in the midst of divorce, 40-year-old Lewis mills appeared in court on charges of sending messages offensive content and physical violence.

Mills pleaded guilty, confirming that said ex-wife that he «would prefer that she die», and before that — broke her wrist during a joint holiday.

According to the indictment, the couple who met at work, lasted about 7 years. In 2016, the mills hit wife’s wrist, which she had to put a cast on for 8 weeks — however, the victim reported to friends and colleagues about the incident.

According to Prosecutor Susan Payne, then the already tense situation began to deteriorate rapidly.

In the end, the victim is experiencing severe problems with self esteem and suffered from pressure from the groom, tried to commit suicide.

When the woman recovered from the overdose at the hospital, she received a short message from mills: «Sorry, you’re not dead. Kill yourself».

«Though, I more do not live with him, I am still afraid to meet him again. The unknown scares me. — Payne quoted the statement of the victim — I just want never to see.»

Mills was sentenced to 12 months of community service and a mandatory 10-day meetings with psychologists. He is also forbidden to approach his ex-wife without court permission.
