Parents arrested after blood 8-month-old baby found cocaine and methamphetamine

Wednesday, March 11, in West Covina (CA) 8-month-old girl was hospitalized with high levels of cocaine and methamphetamine in blood.

The parents, 37-year-old Erin Jill Malone and 37-year-old Richard A. RAPP, were arrested on the same day. They are suspected of illegal possession of drugs and neglect.

Couple detained after staff at the hospital where the baby was brought with respiratory distress, called the police, suspecting something was wrong. The girl is now in stable condition and is under the care of temporary guardians.

During a search of the house Melloni and the government argued the police found drugs — which, according to officers who were in plain sight and, in addition, available for baby place.

Maloney and RAPP must be brought to court this Friday. For a couple bail is set at $100 thousand for each.
