Hollywood star and famous narrator Morgan Freeman, whose voice is often jokingly associated with God’s voice, has recorded a video message on behalf of a new public organization «Committee of investigation against Russia» (CIR). He said that Russia is using cyber weapons to attack democracy around the world.
«Many generations of people fought to protect democracy. Now it’s our turn. See how Morgan Freeman explains the scenario of Russian plan to undermine the USA», — stated in the caption to the video on the Youtube channel CIR.
In the video Freeman offers to submit a script for a movie about former KGB officer, who quickly rises through the ranks and became President. «This man — Vladimir Putin. And it’s not a screenplay,» — said the actor.
Freeman further urged trump to tell Americans the truth about the intervention of Russia in elections in 2016 and, following the example of previous generations, to safeguard democracy and continue the fight.
The non-profit organization is part of another actor, Director and activist Rob Reiner. «We’re trying to break through and to explain to people why this is important, and that there is a serious problem that people don’t seem to understand,» — said Rainer.
The Council organization also included military historian Max boot — editor of the Weekly Standard and Advisor to John McCain during the election campaign 2008, political scientist Norman Ornstein, political commentator Charles Sykes, and the ex-Director of National intelligence James Clapper.

We were attacked. There is a war. Imagine a screenplay: a former KGB agent, pretty pissed that his home had collapsed, was plotting revenge. Taking advantage of the chaos and confusion, he climbs the career ladder in post-Soviet Russia and become President. It establishes an authoritarian regime. And then drew attention to his Nemesis — the United States. As a KGB agent he uses cyber weapons to attack democracy around the world. Using social networks to spread propaganda and false information, he creates the people in democratic societies distrust their media, politicians and even to their neighbors. And there he goes! This man — Vladimir Putin. And it’s not a screenplay.
Our President needs to talk straight with us and tell us the truth. It needs to sit behind the Desk in the oval office and say,»my fellow Americans, during the last elections we were attacked by the Russian government. I called on Congress and intelligence agencies to use all possible resources to thoroughly investigate how it could happen.» A democratic state is counting on our leadership. 241 year our democracy was for the whole world an example and source of inspiration. And we have a duty to the brave people who fought and died defending our great nation and to save democracy. For the sake of our future generations, we must continue this work.
