The recent impressive installations appear in new York city like mushrooms after the rain, allowing giving fans a great opportunity to not only delight your eyes but also to occupy your mind thinking about something serious.
The latest example of such combination of the useful with the pleasant is the project called «Unspoken», created by artist Ann Lewis together with the Studio Long Island CitySPACEnyc. The exhibition presents a series of «curtains» consisting of sparkling strings that are beneficial are highlighted with special spotlights in a darkened space.

However, the mesmerizing shimmer of the strings are not the only element of the installation. Many of them on the hang tags that look like cards, which are generally fixed to the bodies in the morgue, where each tag refers to the viewer with some serious questions, like, «do We really exist?», «Can death be an adventure?»or «What do you mean complete freedom». Viewers are invited to write on index cards their responses and reflect on the meaning of life and essence of our existence.

Magically sinister installation can be seen until 15 February, from Thursday to Saturday, from noon to 8 p.m. the gallery is located at 149 West 14th Street in Chelsea. Admission is free, although you’ll want to grab a pen.
