Sculptures-waves from stars now adorn the streets of new York

Sculptures depicting the waves, began to appear in different parts of the Big Apple, to remind people about the need to protect the ocean. The authors of the art facilities are the various artists star of Olympus, such as Keith Richards, Cara Delevingne and Slash.

Project Wave Walk is to install the 52 unique art sculptures throughout the five boroughs of new York city, including two on Roosevelt island, two in the Bronx, one in long island city and a few in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

To admire the installation is possible until 21 June, after that the sculptures will be sold at auction. All proceeds will be donated to the funding of the program Project 0 from charity La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund, which works to protect the world’s oceans.

The interactive map on the website of the Foundation La Mer Blue Heart the Oceans will help to find all the elements of a large scale installation (it’s like pokémon: «catch them all»).

Sculpture from Slash, guitarist of the rock band Guns N’ Roses represents a wave with an orange octopus in the hat. It will set the stadium near Yankee Stadium. The creation of Cara Delevingne, dubbed the «Mother Ocean», full of colorful fish and other sea animals.

«The ocean can be called the mother of our planet. He gives us life — the air we breathe and the water we drink. The ocean is inhabited by many diverse creatures that are constantly moving in the mysterious blue waters. Love him like your mother» — says the model.

Sculpture from Keith Richards, decorate SOHO, fully corresponds to the image of its Creator: it is completely black, and depicts a skull.

On Roosevelt island, you will see two sculptures. One of them was created by artist Milla Eastwood. The art object called «Thalassophile» (literally, a Lover of the ocean).

Project Wave Walk dedicated to world oceans day is the UN, which takes place on 8 June. Each of the sculptures-waves you can buy online from may 20 to June 23, the live auction from Sotheby’s on 21 June.
