Do you really want to relax from daily vanity, to feel the unity with nature and to regain composure? It is not necessary to take holidays and travel to distant lands. You need only a day or two of free time, camping and good company.

Only 100 miles from Los Angeles there are excellent campsites located in the quiet and picturesque places. To reach them, you’ll need about an hour (if no traffic jams).

Buckhorn

Henninger Flats

Carpinteria State Beach

This place is ideal for beach lovers, surfing, fishing and noisy companies. The property is 128 km from the city, and is reachable not only by car but also by train — literally a few steps away is the railway station that serves the transportation company Amtrak.

Across the road from the camps are located in local home and small brewery that brews good beer.

If you come here by car, overnight stay will cost $35-60 for hikers and cyclists the price below $10. Camp 200 places — book one of them on the Reserve America website.

West Fork

West Fork is a Paradise for hermits, where you can fully feel the merger with nature. The camp is located far from civilization in a quiet and picturesque setting behind mount Wilson. In West Fork are only 7 places, usually half of them is free, so neighbors are unlikely to interfere with your rest. Note that the closest car Park is at a distance of 8 km won’t hurt to take a bike.

Sycamore canyon

The campground is located in an incredible place — located at the foot of the mountains it has access to the beach. Here lovers of active holidays — surfing, fishing and a study of the local nature with its canyons, shady woods, and strewn green hills will not miss.
