In the Senate, introduced the bill, which will replace DACA

A group of Republican senators unveiled a long-awaited decision on the program for illegal immigrant children DACA. A new plan to help young undocumented immigrants was designed to win the support of conservative Republicans.

On Monday, senators Tom Tillis from North Carolina, James Lankford from Oklahoma and co-author of the original bill, the DREAM Act Orrin hatch introduced a new law called Act SUCCEED.

Members of the Senate offer are loyal to some members of DACA who came to the U.S. before age 16 and before June 15, 2012. To avoid deportation they will need to adhere to the following rules:

  • check criminal record;
  • to pay tax liabilities;
  • to provide their biometric data to Department of homeland security;
  • to sign a consent to the cancellation of certain benefits if they violated conditions of status.

If all the above conditions are fulfilled, the so-called dreamers will receive the status of «conditional stay on a permanent basis.» If within 10 years there will be no violation of their status, they can apply to receive a green card. If you have conditional permanent residence, dreamers will have to get a higher education, to serve in the army for at least three years or work.

The parents of illegal immigrants who arrived in the U.S. illegally will no longer be able to apply to stay in the United States on the basis of their legal status.

Member of the Republican party, Lankford reported that during a telephone conversation, the President, Donald trump has expressed «great support» the concept of the bill. The Senator said: «He said that this is the solution that I think will work.»
