Today the Parliament of Ukraine has reviewed the proposed yesterday by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the national security Council decree on the introduction of martial law. Today, the security Council only listened to the parties, without taking any decisions. Russia through its representative accused Ukraine of deliberate provocation, and the United States in connivance of Kiev.

In Brussels was held the meeting of the Commission Ukraine NATO. Speaking to reporters, the head of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg said that all NATO allies expressed their full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine: «We have seen that Russia has used military force against Ukraine in an open and direct way. There is no reason for the use of military force against Ukrainian ships and naval personnel, so we call on Russia to immediately release Ukrainian sailors and ships, which they seized yesterday,» and added that NATO is monitoring the situation closely, so Russia must understand that its actions will have consequences.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland was one of the first of heads of diplomatic departments responded to the fire in the Azov sea: «Canada condemns the Russian aggression against Ukraine in Kerch. We call on Russia to immediately deescalate the situation, the release of captured vessels and to permit freedom of passage. Canada has consistently supported the sovereignty of Ukraine».

What do you mean «martial law» in Ukraine
Martial law in Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia regions and inland waters of the Kerch area. It is the regions directly bordering with Russia, and Odessa, located near the unrecognized Transnistrian Republic, which is stationed a large Russian military group.
Poroshenko gives additional powers to the military in 10 regions of Ukraine
To the aforesaid territories military command gets expanded powers.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the military now have the right to impose curfews, establish a special regime of entry and exit to the settlements, to restrict the freedom of movement of citizens, as well as the movement of vehicles, to check documents, and if necessary, inspect their belongings, transport, baggage and cargo, premises and property of citizens. The military will be able to ban mass actions and strikes. If necessary, the law allows the army to forcibly dispose of property under private or municipal property, to confiscate the property of state enterprises, state economic associations, for the needs of the state.
Martial law is introduced from 9:00 27 Nov 2018. It does not mean the mobilization of reservists, however, will be carried out preparatory work with the military reserve «first stage».
The military situation does not negate the election
In order to remove all political rumors, the Ukrainian Parliament today voted for the appointment of elections to March 31, 2019, thus refuting the views of political opponents of Poroshenko about his desire to use martial law to delay elections.
