Users instantly noticed the message policy a reference to the gospel story that the virgin Mary put the baby Jesus in the manger (a feeding trough for animals). Further, the narrative says that Jesus ‘ parents, Mary and Joseph with a baby were forced to flee from Judea (Israel) in Egypt. The family remained in exile for several years.

«Even at Christmas you just can’t stay away from politics. I genuinely pity you. Merry Christmas!» commented on the post Ocasio-Cortez is one of the critics.

As Jesuit priest James Martin wrote in the Catholic edition of the American Magazine that the family of Jesus «was forced to leave their homeland for fear of persecution. This is the classic modern definition of a refugee».

This opinion is shared by political analyst and Democrat Mary Anne Marsh, who wrote Fox News: «This journey in an attempt to save the life of Jesus clearly indicates that they were refugees.»

Leading CNN Joe Scarborough has also spoken to this in the Christmas post on his Twitter page.

«Merry Christmas, and pray for those beautiful and wonderful children, who are still in detention along the border with America — said Scarborough. — Let Congress and the American people demand their return to the parents with a broken heart. What would Jesus do? It is this: we must do better in 2019».

A young representative of the Congress confined increased attention, and she’s a politician often gives rise to another scandal. For example, in the Ocasio-Cortez showered with a barrage of criticism when she compared the «caravan» of migrants to the Jews who escaped from the Nazis.
