Composition of French artist Laurence Jenkell «Candy Nations» symbolizes the countries participating in G-20 and consists of twenty sweets, wrapped in the flag States. «I have created sculptures of sweets with flags to celebrate humanity and to pay tribute to the people of the world,» said Ginkell at the opening of his creation.

The Observer, citing a source in the port authority reports that the song will move to the international airport. Kennedy. «We have been in contact with the «9/11 Memorial» and the various stakeholders, and in full collaboration with the artist, the exhibition will move from its current location. We believe that this decision takes into account the unique characteristics of the location and preserves the artistic integrity of the exhibition», — leads edition of the words of the representative of the port.

The New York Post claims that the relocation of the sculpture will take place during the week and leads the approving comment of the coalition of family members of those who died in the world trade center 9/11: «the port authority, apparently, is taking the right steps, removing this week’s sculpture from the area of Ground Zero. The plan to move the exhibit to the international airport named after John F. Kennedy also questionable for obvious reasons. But, of course, the sculpture does not have to be near the scene of this mass murder.»

We previously discussed another solution is to leave the composition in the same place, removing only the Saudi candy. But Lawrence Jenkell was strongly against, it also caused doubts from the point of view of international diplomacy.
