As a rule, famous people sign the books they wrote, or their photos, but the President, Donald trump surpassed them all. During his visit, the American leader left the autographs on… the Bible.
Residents of a small town in Alabama still trying to recover after a destructive tornado, which covered their district a week ago and killed 23 people. It was the deadliest tornado in the country since 2013.
In connection with the tragedy trump decided to go to the local Baptist Church in Opelika (al). In his speech, the President noted the «excellent work» of employees of the Federal emergency management Agency. He also noted the devastation that he saw during his trip.

After trump left his signature on the book of Scripture they handed him a 12-year-old boy, the crowd erupted with applause, the report says. The President and first lady, together signed the cover of the Bible 10-year-old girl, decorated with pink camouflage.

One of the volunteers of the Church, Ada Ingram, told reporters that the visit trump was a blessing. She expressed the hope that it will unite the community.
«I’m glad he came,’ said Ingram. — I think it’s God’s grace.»
Peter Manzo, curator of the Smithsonian institution, told The Washington Post that former presidents also signed the Bible, including George Bush and Ronald Reagan.
«If that were the organized actions when the President was handing out stacks of signed Bibles, it would seem strange to me, said, Manco. But from what I can tell, the event was not outside the norm. Presidents seem to sign a lot of random things.»
But many Twitter users, including well-known personalities, were unhappy with the act, trump.
