The city Council of new York is ready to bring Jaeger out of Committee due to the anti-Palestinian statements

A member of the city Council of new York Kalman Yeager spoke on Twitter about his attitude to Palestine and Ilhan Omar, stating that «Palestine does not exist… And yet, Congresswoman Omar — anti-Semite».

Palestine does not exist.
There, I said it again.
Also, Congresswoman Omar is an antisemite. Said that too.

The speaker of the city Council Corey Johnson said he and other Council members now are considering the exclusion of a member of the Board of Kalman Jaeger from the Committee on immigration. «These comments make me feel awkward due to the fact that the Committee, which should work with immigrants, there are those who hold this point of view,» said Johnson.

I agree with Johnson, the head of the immigration Committee Carlos Menchaca: «I see the future of the Committee without him.» The experience of such decisions are: in February, Johnson and the city Council voted for the dissolution of the Subcommittee on car rental after its President, Ruben Diaz, Sr., has repeatedly made homophobic comments about the Council and the legislative leadership of the state.

Colleagues tried to convince Jaeger to apologize, but it is no apology statements are not published. NY Daily News quotes his words spoken in the conversation: «what he wants to do the speaker, I’m happy… I didn’t ask to work in the immigration Committee, if he wants me there, I’ll be there if he doesn’t want me to be there, that’s fine… But I am very interested to hear their response to Ilhan Omar, which sits on the foreign Affairs Committee of the house of representatives».

Last night at the Brooklyn office of the Kalman Jaeger’s gathered about 100 people, both protesters and supporters of the Yeager, who personally appeared there.
