29 States refused to Trump disclosure of personal data about voters

This week in the government secretariats of the fifty United States came letters with a request for providing personal information of all registered voters.

The President’s Advisory Commission on the fairness of elections (The Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity) that is generated by Donald trump, was listed as the sender.

In a letter signed by the Vice-Chairman of the Commission, Chris Cobham, requested data about the names, addresses, dates of birth, party affiliation, and the criminal conviction of the voters.

Moreover, the Vice President was also interested in the last four digits of social security numbers of citizens and recording their participation in elections since 2006. He promised that all information will be posted on the secure and protected server.

According to Kobacha, which, incidentally, is a candidate for the gubernatorial post in Kansas in 2018, the data required by the Commission to conduct a comprehensive and accurate investigation of fraud during the last presidential election.

Particularly adamant were Virginia, California, Kentucky, new York, Mississippi and Pennsylvania secretaries of state and governors of which has publicly stated its refusal.

For example, Alex Padilla, California Secretary of state, described the activities undertaken by the Commission,“waste of taxpayers ‘ money” and “a distraction from these real threats to the integrity of elections, as the outdated system of voting, and the documented intervention of Russia”.

Secretary of the Mississippi, Delbert, Hosmann, generally advised the members of the Commission “to jump into the Gulf of Mexico” and said his staff is “excellent” place to jump.

At the same time, governors and secretaries of Indiana, Vermont, Connecticut, Ohio, Oklahoma, Alabama, Wisconsin, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon and some other States has agreed to provide public information, that is, not all datarequested by the Commission.

It is known that the Secretary of state of Missouri, Jay Ashcroft, called the Commission request is “fair” and agreed to provide her all the information about voters in the state. It is worth noting that the father Ashcroft, former U.S. attorney General John Ashcroft, ruled over by Cobham, when both worked in the U.S. Department of justice.
