Coalition of activists plans to hold more than 180 protests against the U.S. conflict with Iran this Thursday, 9 Jan. They are scheduled across America.
The group «No war with Iran» (No War with Iran) said that the protests will take place at 17:00 local time on 9 January.
As of 8th January protests were planned in several major cities, including new York, Washington (D.C.), Los Angeles and Dallas.
This happens a little less than a week after the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and two days after Iran struck Iraqi targets, which housed U.S. troops and their allies.
«The reckless actions of Donald trump threatened countless lives of American soldiers, Iraqis, Iranians and many other civilians, reads the statement on the website «No to war with Iran.» — The devastation that war with Iran could bring to the earth and humanity cannot be overstated — millions of lives hang in the balance. Nobody wins except the politicians and corporations.»
The organizers of the protests said that they are a peaceful group, and their actions will be non-violent.
«We expect that all participants will act lawfully and will not tend to aggravate the potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values,» said the group.

Democrat from the house of representatives Ilhan Omar urged his followers to sign up for the protest, saying on Twitter: «We will not allow the property trump to drag us into another endless war.»

The President trump had previously tweeted:
«It’s okay! Missiles launched from Iran at the two military bases located in Iraq. Now estimated the extent of the damage. We have the most powerful and well equipped armed forces in the world, so far everything is fine.»
