According to Fox News, a 45-year-old Reeves, a Republican, previously served as Vice-Governor and the Treasurer of the state, is as Governor his first term. He said that he still aims in order to ban abortion in the state.

On Tuesday, a clinic was opened with the Women’s health organization of Jackson, dubbed «the Pink house» because of the characteristic color of the exterior walls. It is reported that the clinic was a group of protesters campaigning against abortion. Laura Duran, President of Pro-Life Mississippi, says that the protesters are only concerned about the risk of infection COVID-19.
