Donald trump intends to suspend immigration in the United States

Late in the evening on Monday, President Donald trump announced that he plans to sign a presidential order to temporarily stop immigration in the United States during the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

«In light of the attack of the invisible enemy and the need to protect our American citizens, I will sign the decree of the President to suspend immigration to the United States!» tweeted Donald trump.

The President did not indicate whether any exceptions to the decree of the President.

Other details of the decree were also not disclosed, including when it will take effect.

The U.S. Department of state on March 31 issued the state guidelines for travel level 4, effectively stopping the communication between US and the rest of the world. The US border with Mexico and Canada remain open for the most important tasks such as business trip, emergency, or delivery of goods. Trump believes that it is to his credit in the restrictions on travel to the U.S. from China and other affected by the coronavirus in European countries, arguing that it is possible to reduce the prevalence of the virus in the United States. But he has yet to expand these restrictions to other countries, which also suffer from the outbreak.

The President’s decision followed the fact that Donald trump has asked governors across the country again to be the state’s economy, as the White house believes that the United States reached a peak in number of infected with the coronavirus COVID-19 in the country.

It should be noted that because of the pandemic coronavirus almost all visas processed by the US State Department, including visas for immigrants who were suspended for weeks.

As for the sad statistics today, more than 750 thousand Americans contracted coronavirus COVID-19 and more than 42 thousand died.
