Kathleen Jenner, the gold medalist of the Olympic games, the reality show star, a fighter for the rights of transgender people — is thinking about running for the Senate from California.
«I’m considering it. I love politics,» said Jenner in a radio interview with New York’s AM 970, adding that she will make a final decision within six months.
«I need to understand where I’m more useful. Is it better to work outside the political arena, while remaining open to conversation with everyone? Or I can make myself useful while you are on the inside? We’re trying to find out».
Jenner has been in the limelight for decades: first known as Bruce — Olympic champion, long-suffering husband and father in the reality show family Kardashian, and then as the activists, who succeeded in 2015 the floor and now known as Kathleen Jenner. She became one of the most famous transgender people in the world.
All her life, she supported the Republicans. The next Senate elections will be held in 2018.
