It is noteworthy that in the last year of the Obama presidency some restrictions for transgender people has been weakened, in particular, they were allowed to serve in the armed forces of the United States.

Already from October 2016 transgender people began to openly join the military, receive medical care, they have sex change surgery.

All this time , Pentagon officials were following the resolution of military service for this group can affect the effectiveness of the us armed forces, then to the July 2017 to make the final determination on this matter.

Last year the number of transgender people, who began to serve in the army, amounted to about 2,450 people. The total number of all military forces of the United States – about 1.3 million.

But with the coming to power of administration of the 45th President’s approach to the subject was radically changed. In June 2017, just a day before the deadline to upgrade the physical and medical standards of the Armed forces under the transgender, the new U.S. Secretary of defense James Matisse postponed the implementation plan for the adoption of transgender troops for another six months.

He justified his decision by the necessity for further studies and said that the delay “in no way presupposes the outcome.”

However, at this point it is unknown whether today’s tweets Donald trump’s announcement of his new presidential decree, and lie if he has on the table already prepared documents for the signature.
