The deciding vote against the bill gave it to John McCain, which, recall, came to Washington, interrupting his treatment for brain cancer, reports the NY Post.

«This bill offers no equivalent substitute for reform of our health care system and provide affordable and quality health care for our citizens,» said McCain later.

The Republican leader in the Senate Mitch McConnell called the vote results «disappointing» and urged Republicans to «move on». The decision of the Senate reacted, of course, and President Donald trump on his Twitter feed.

«3 Republicans and 48 Democrats failed the American people. As I said at the outset, let Obamacare collapse, and then we’ll see».

Recall, repeal Obamacare was the key point of the election program of the trump.
