Today on the official website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation published a statement that Russian authorities are ready to respond to a “clear provocation” from Washington.
Moscow believes that the adoption by the U.S. House of representatives new law on sanctions “suggests that in certain circles in the United States is entrenched Russophobia and the policy of open confrontation” with Russia.
For this reason before September 1, 2017 the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation proposes to the American side to reduce the number of all its diplomatic and technical staff representing the United States in the Moscow Embassy, and General consulates in Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok to 455 people.
This decision can still be called a pursuit of justice, because that’s the number of Russian diplomats is now in the United States. Moreover, now, if the United States decides to send diplomatic staff home to Russia, “this was followed by a mirror response”.

“The Russian Federation is doing everything possible to normalize bilateral relations, develop relations and cooperation with the US on key issues on the international agenda, including in particular the fight against terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, drug trafficking, illegal migration, cyber crime, etc”, – stated in zaiavleniia the foreign Ministry.
But in turn, the White house for its actions violate the principles of international law, the provisions of the UN Charter, the norms of the WTO, the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations and other international standards, said the Ministry.
Such actions of the Ministry of foreign Affairs openly calls the holding of the United States “coarse anti-Russian actions”, the introduction of the “illegal sanctions”, the withdrawal of Russian diplomatic property and opinion of Russian diplomats.
