The son of the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Guerra, threatened the President of the United States Donald Trump «to seize the White house» with weapons.
It is reported Politico, citing the Venezuelan media.
«If the Americans set foot on our land, the guns will come to new York and take the White house,» said Maduro Guerra. It is unknown, however, what does new York, if the residence of the President of the United States located in Washington.
Maduro statement was a response to trump’s words on possible military intervention in Venezuela.
This Friday Donald trump, speaking to reporters on his Golf resort in new Jersey, said that does not rule out the «military option» against Venezuela. Trump added that he «has a lot of solutions for the Maduro regime, including the military campaign, if it is needed.»
On the same day the White house issued an official statement condemning the regime of President Maduro for human rights violations.
The statement said that the Venezuelan leader «refused to listen» to calls from the White house about «free and fair elections», instead choosing «the path of dictatorship.»
Recall mass protests in Venezuela began in 2014 due to strong economic crisis in the country caused by the collapse in oil prices.
At the end of March 2017, after the decision of the Supreme court of Venezuela to assume the powers of the Parliament, the country began a new wave of mass unrest, accompanied by human victims. The total death toll by mid-July reached 92 people.
