Two radio stations on the island of GUAM accidentally turned on the emergency alert system on emergency situations. The alarm, which usually reports on the military attack, terrorist threat, or even a nuclear attack, lasted for 15 minutes.

We will remind, recently, North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN said Pyongyang is considering a nuclear strike on the island of GUAM, which is U.S. military base.

The Department of civil defence of the island, later made an official statement that the error occurred due to «human factor».

«The alarm went off accidentally and was not related to a real threat. We have been working with radio stations to make sure this never happens again,» — said the adviser to the national security of GUAM George Charfauros.

Charfauros urged the island’s residents and tourists to keep calm, despite unconfirmed reports about the nuclear threat in the media.

Help: GUAM is an island in the Western Pacific ocean, with the status of unincorporated organized territory of the United States (that is not part of the United States, but which is in their possession). The island is home to more than 180 thousand inhabitants.
