Ukrainian hacker under the nickname Profexer acts as the sole witness «flesh and blood» in the case of intervention of Russia in the American elections in 2016. Recall the case investigating the FBI.

Hacker Profexer wrote different programs that were placed in the so-called «darknet» — the informal segment of the Internet. According to investigators, one of these hacking programs I bought and later used by the Russians to the cyber attacks during the elections of the President of the United States.
By the way, the program was virtually free for download. Profexer only asked for donations in the amount of from 3 to 250 USD. But for setting up certain software programs on and their effective use, he took the money. It is unknown how closely he worked with the Russians.
For the first time during this investigation appeared as a witness, and not a lot of technical details that are only indirectly indicated the involvement of Russia to hacker attacks on the United States.
There is also evidence that Profexer consciously worked for the Russian intelligence services, but, writes the New York Times, it is obvious that its malicious software was used.
Ukrainian police refused to divulge details of the case and the name of the hacker, said only that he is a citizen of Ukraine and was arrested. Also the police added that Profexer voluntarily decided to testify in the case, and he appealed to law enforcement agencies.
«I don’t know what will happen,» he wrote in one of his last messages, posted on the website with restricted access, before going to the police. «Many will not like it. But I’m still alive.»
In turn, the founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange met with Congressman-Republican Danai Rorabacher and said that Russia has nothing to do with interference in American elections.

«Our three-hour meeting covered a wide range of issues, including the publication of WikiLeaks emails to the Democratic party during last year’s presidential elections,» — said Rohrabacher. «Julian insisted that the Russians were not involved in cyber attacks or disclosure of these letters».
Meeting Assange and the Congressman was held in the Embassy of Ecuador in LondonE. Julian Assange is living here since 2012, after obtaining diplomatic asylum.
Recall, Assange became widely known after the publication of thousands of secret diplomatic and military documents of the United States, which included information associated with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
