Tenants turned against presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner a few months after the acquisition of his company high-rise building in Williamsburg (Brooklyn). According to them, constant renovations and unreasonable rent increases owner obviously tried to survive the tenants out of the house to turn it into a luxury residential complex.
Until 2010 it was a warehouse for groceries and alcoholic beverages until the owners decided to rebuild it into an apartment building. In 2015 the building for $275 million bought the company Kushner CO’s and, contrary to the statutory rules of formation of the rent, immediately began to increase. At the same time, as reported by the tenants, the conditions in which people lived (338 apartments), not better.
