Every year the public advocate of new York publishes a list of the worst landlords in the city. This year, Letitia James for the first time called the leader of the list housing authority new York city (NYCHA). This list at the time, came up with the current new York mayor, bill de Blasio, once the acting public advocate.

On Tuesday, Secretary of the Ministry of housing and urban development, U.S. (HUD) Ben Carson first visited and NYCHA Queensbridge Houses in long island city.

On Tuesday, Carson met with mayor bill de Blasio. This time, a closed meeting was held in the headquarters of HUD. Regional Director, HUD Lynn Patton spoke about this meeting as very productive. HUD does not preclude the absorption of NYCHA, however, the final decision remains to be seen. While HUD has increased funding by 52%. It is planned that Carson will visit another object of the NYCHA, but in January. Besides, 31 Jan – the deadline set by HUD for the city, for which there should be developed a plan for correction of deficiencies and violations revealed in the activities of NYCHA.

  • Michael Lazarov (Michael Lazaroff) – 112 housing units in 2 buildings with recorded 778 violations;
  • Abdul Khan (Abdul Khan) – 163 housing units in 7 blocks with a fixed 679 violations;
  • Jason Korn (Jason Korn) – 178 housing units in 5 buildings with recorded 656 violations;
  • Irving Langer (Langer Irving) – 186 units of housing in 10 buildings with 627 recorded violations.
