Independent education Department of Houston on Wednesday announced that all students in the 2017-2018 school year will be fed completely free of charge.
The Department of agriculture of the United States and the Department of agriculture of the state of Texas was allowed to skip the stage of filing of the special applications required by the national program of school breakfasts and Lunches.
«Despite the fact that the state was allowed to skip this step, the education Department asks all parents and guardians to fill in and send applications. The decision was taken because of the overtaken Houston natural disasters. Therefore, the Department of education wants to alleviate the plight of all the victims, because many families have hard times and high costs for rebuilding homes.
The program takes effect immediately. It will allow all students three times a day to get a free meal as soon as you resume school.
