Victor Klipp, the captain of the ferry on long island led the ship on a rainy Saturday night when he noticed a light up ahead.

As it turned out, it was two makeshift «lighthouse» – namely, mobile phones, which the two men used to signal distress.

Police in Suffolk County said that the victims – Gerald Corsini and Donald Devo — were on their 18-foot boat a half mile from the Bay Shore Marinawhen a big wave capsized the boat, and they were in the water. It was dark and they could not get back on the Board, but somehow cell phones continued to work.

Men spent more than an hour in the water and already began to lose power, but continued to Shine on mobile, while they did not notice the captain of the ferry.

As reported by ABC 7, Gerald and Donald threw life jackets and dragged them to the ship. Men refused medical aid, saying that feel good.
