On Saturday, which occurs the last Monday of August, is the most significant event in the framework of the annual Burning Man festival.
On this day, when the sun sets behind the horizon, in the desert black Rock is made of the legendary burning of the main attribute of the festival – a 12-metre statue of a person. This ceremony is a symbol of rebirth.
But this year at Burning Man was burning not only wood person, but real. They became Aaron Joel Mitchell, 41-year-old American living in Switzerland.
Around 22:30, in the midst of the celebration the man ran out from the crowd and overcome a two-level security perimeter, jumped in a giant bonfire. It happened in front of 50 thousand people.
For Mitchell rushed to the rescue, but to pull him from the flames they succeeded not once, but waiting until wooden figure collapses completely. Otherwise, they could fall under its falling apart.
As soon as the body of the victim was removed from the wreckage, he has provided emergency ambulance. Soon after Aaron flew in a helicopter to take him to the burn center at the University of California in Davis.
But despite the efforts of doctors, on Sunday morning, Aaron Joel Mitchell died from his injuries. The doctors found that he had committed his act not under the influence of alcohol.
Jerry Allen, Sheriff Nevada County Pershing, said that the police are still trying to determine the reason for this action Mitchell.

Aaron Mitchell is survived by his wife, with whom he lived in Switzerland. He also owned a house in Oklahoma.
The mother of Aaron, johnny Mitchell, told reporters that her son visited the festival for the first time. The last time she had seen Aaron alive on 1 August, before he went to Oregon for the festival of the solar Eclipse and in Nevada at Burning Man.
