Today, the first day of the new school year, one of the older students tried to pass weapons to the territory of Brooklyn school campus.
There are classes for students of two secondary schools – George Westinghouse Career&Technical Education High School City Polytechnic High School of Engineering, Architecture&Technology. The second is the one where she’s a teenager.
In the morning, about 09:30, when 17-year-old student came to the school, located in Downtown Brooklyn, the guard withdrew from his backpack a gun 25 caliber.
That the teenager is armed, it became known when he, as if nothing had happened walked past the metal detector, and he squeaked. His gun wasn’t loaded.
The school administration called the police. The teenager was arrested and taken to the 84th police stationfor questioning and face charges.
This incident was not the reason for the cancellation of lessons. The school said all pupils and staff are safeand no one was hurt.
It is noteworthy that on the same day the NYPD arrested one person, who came to high school with two knives. It happened at Manhattan High School in the district of Hell’s Kitchen.
History repeated itself: the security guards saw the weapons after I ran the backpack of the student. Fortunately, this time did without victims.
