The MTA is testing in metro new York, a new technology, which the company hopes will provide for more reliable maintenance of the metro.

This wireless broadband system, known as Ultra-Wide Band Radio will allow you to run more trains (especially during rush hour) and track their traffic in real time.

As reported by amNewYork, the MTA, the technology is being tested on the F and G lines in Brooklynbetween the stations of Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street and Church Avenue.

«Our experiment, if successful, will allow the MTA to use technology 21st century system built in the 20th century. I am very optimistic,» — said in a statement, MTA Chairman Joe Lhota.

It is unknown how long the experiment, and how much it will cost new York the introduction of a system of Ultra-Wide Band Radio.

Eyewitness News interviewed several passengers, and they admitted they are happy to accept any improvement of operation metro, if the fare because it does not soar to dizzying heights.
