The Museum of memory of victims of September 11 opened in a new location

The Museum of memory of victims of the September 11 attacks (The 9/11 Tribute Museum) has moved a little further from the world trade center, but now it takes much more space, with two floors, on the area of 36 thousand square feet, writes ABC7.

A new arrangement of the room was worth about $ 8.7 million. Donations to him came from private and public foundations and from American Express, Zurich North America, port authority of new York and new Jersey.

It is planned that the Museum, in addition, there are special tours for schoolchildren, who were born after 11 September 2001.

Among the exhibits — posters «missing»that hung around the city immediately after the attacks — then the families still hoped that their relatives will find them alive. The Museum also has a boarding pass of a man who was on one of the collapsed aircraft, part of the window of one of the planes and much more.
«It is very important that we give an understanding of what happened to future generations,» said former firefighter, who during the terrorist attacks pulled his son’s body from the wreckage.

Many tours of the Museum conducted directly by relatives of the victims or survivors.
«The fact that they found the strength after the incident to do something for others, to share it, speaks to the strength of the human spirit, about the lesson, which fell to us,» said Lee Skolnick, an employee of the company who did the new Museum project. «The question is, what can you do for others, for the world.»
