A homeless orphan from Florida found a family and work due to their school teacher

In my 20 years of Amonte green is left without a family. The guy was unemployed and lived on the street. Since he dropped out in high school, the chances of finding a job were minimal.

Green was determined to make a change and so turned to Kate Demory — my math teacher in 8th grade.

«She was a very good person — a person you could call no matter what» — said green.

«Everything was inside for a long time and just broke me,» he said.

Green attended high school GLENRIDGE in Orlando, Florida. There he met Demori, his teacher in algebra, which he taught in his class from 2014 to 2015.

«He was never disrespectful or rude. Was very polite, told GMA Demori. «He always wanted to help others. Sometimes not done my homework, but only because I didn’t know how to do it». «But whenever I worked with him one-on-one, he had tried a little harder».

As green went to kindergarten and later left him for the second year in 7th grade, he celebrated his 16th birthday is in 8 th grade. The guy told me Demore that he had never had a birthday cake. Therefore, the teacher along with other students had baked him a cake to birthday.

Demore said that shortly after he graduated 8th grade, the mother of Greene died. From the moment the boy’s life has changed for the worse. After that, green left school to have the opportunity to work full time in eateries. biked to work and ran to the shelters to seek refuge. No one answered his calls.

During this time green made contact with Demori and wrote to her every Mother’s Day.

Once green had a fight with another resident of the shelter. When it came down to a fight, the guy was arrested and he was held in prison for 33 days. During his stay in jail Greene regularly called Demori.

«He was lonely,» said Demore. «There was no one who would answer his calls. He knew that he was not able to return home.»

Green said that he was released from prison on June 24. The first person he called was Demory and her husband, Craig Russell, who works as a coach at the school Greene, in high school, winter Park, Florida.

«One of the things he mentioned to us immediately is that he had no family,» said Demory, adding that he and Russell took Grita and his belongings from the shelter.

Damore and Russell are the parents of five children and live in a small house. To provide a private green space after signing, the couple decided to pay for the accommodation for the day. The next morning Demori came to pick him up and I found a guy on the sidewalk crying.

«I’ve never seen him like this,» said Demore. «I hugged him and let him cry. I said,» All is well».

Demori wash my clothes, grin and helped him to find another shelter in Orlando for two nights. Then Russell rented a place for green in the hotel for a long stay. But when the hotel found out that the boy turned 21, he was asked to leave. Green now lives with Demari and her family.

His teacher and her husband helped him to be made a list of personal goals, which Greene calls «The Green House». Some of these goals include finding accommodation, work and education.

The charges against Greene because of a fight at the shelter were removed. The guy vows never to be in conflict with the law, and he is grateful for a second chance. 30 June Damari launched a campaign on the GoFundMe platform. The money collected will go to housing to green and 16-week program to complete high school, bus pass and phone.

The guy told me that he is very thankful to have found such a family, Damore and Russell.

«Miss Demore and always will be my mother,» he said.
