Two best friend-the Aviator from the state of Washington is one survivor of the Second world, the second victim — after 72 years, buried side-by-side.

For over 70 years the tree grew around the remains of the Lieutenant , U.S. air force William gray, after his single-seat plane crashed in a forest in Lindau, Germany.
«The tree grew right over his remains and have praised this place so one day my uncle was found,» says gray’s nephew, Doug.

Before the Second world war gray and his best friend Jim Louvier, both residents of Rainier Valley, Washington, gave each other a promise. They gave the word: if one of them dies, the other will take care of the family of the deceased.
«They loved each other as brothers,» adds Doug.

April 16, 1945, the plane gray was hit after he took off on a mission. The plane crashed into the woods Lindau, Lieutenant died. He was only 21 years old.
Jim Louvier survived the war and returned home to fulfill the promise. In the end, he married the sister of a dead friend and I lived with her for 64 years. Jim died in 2010, at the age of 89 years, but the family could not decide where to bury his remains.

They were sent for DNA examination, which confirmed that it is indeed William gray.

After a long bureaucratic procedures remains gray was taken to the United States, and this Friday they were buried together with the ashes of Jim Louvier at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, Washington.
«We couldn’t decide where to bury the ashes of Jim during those seven years,» said his family. «And now we know why.»

«I think they’re in heaven, drinking cool drinks and say: finally we are together,» jokes the son of Louviers.
