7 Brooklyn subway platforms route N will be closed for a year and a half

Coney island subway trains plying on the route N start to miss seven stations in Brooklyn, as from 31 July there will begin renovations that will last until the end of 2018.

According to the plan of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in total will be upgraded from nine metro stations. The project worth $ 395,7 million includes updating the platforms and the installation of lighting. In addition, two stations will be elevators and ramps designed for people with disabilities.

During the repairs, trains will run from Eighth Avenue to Coney Island, passing a stop at the station of Fort Hamilton Parkway, New Utrecht Avenue, 18th Avenue, 20th Avenue, Kings Highway, Avenue U and 86th Street.

Passengers travelling to these stations, you can use the train route N to Bay Parkway or Coney Island with Shuttle service to Manhattan.
