62 years ago was created the famous amusement Park – Disneyland.
The opening of the Park took place on 17 July 1955. However, it went not as smooth as expected. In the Park there were a lot of visitors – expected 11 thousand, in the end, there were three times more. Celebrities invited to the opening, came simultaneously, but had to appear at intervals of two hours to «warm up» the crowd. The heat typical of mid-summer, was also one of the reasons for bad moods visitors: casted asphalt literally melted under the scorching rays, the face was burning hot air.
Of course, most of the guests went in search of drinking fountains, but here they were disappointed – the water wasn’t there (it was because of a strike of plumbers, but many have decided that the way the administration decided to increase the demand for the sale of lemonade). Due to the large number of people supplies food courts ended quickly, so eat ice cream, too, was not all.
In addition, due to technical problems had to close three sections of Disneyland.
No wonder that day the press was full of negative reviews about the Park opening, Walt Disney invited everyone to another day of discovery. This time, 18 July 1955, everything was enchanting, as planned.
Interestingly, the first decade after the opening of Disneyland, the number 17 was called the «Day of dedication» or «Black Sunday», and the official opening day, was considered on 18 July.
Disneyland has changed countless times over the years of its existence, today it is the most popular and the most visited amusement Park.
