Missing in new York, 100-pound turtle found in another state

Last week it became known that someone had stolen a rare 100-pound tortoise named Millenium new York animal shelter in Queens. But yesterday, Monday, July 24, it was discovered in the neighboring state, Connecticut.

Pohititel never found, but a few days after the disappearance of the Millennium, one of the residents of Connecticut acquired a new pet, namely a 100-pound turtle of the same rare type as missing in Queens animal African African spurred tortoise.

By the way, this species of tortoise is the third largest in the world and the largest of all land tortoises. In recent years their numbers became greatly reduced due to the fact that humans are destroying their habitat and produce animals for sale.

Some time later, the new owner of the African spurred tortoise began to suspect that his pet may be the most stolen animals from new York. When he went to the police, it turned out that he was right.
