The sports channel ESPN decided to remove its lead from commenting on the match of American football, to be held in Charlottsville due to the fact that the journalist full namesake of the famous Confederate General Robert E. Lee, according to DNAinfo.

2 Sep Robert had to go on a business trip in Virginia to comment on the first match of the season between the team of the University of Virginia and College of William and Mary.
The suspension applies only to matches in Charlottesville: the facilitator is preparing for a game Youngstown State -Pittsburgh, which will be held on the same day

In a statement, ESPN said they took the decision together with by Robert, after the tragic events of 12 August in Charlottsville, when the riots associated with a torchlight procession of neo-Nazis, killing one person. Such action was dictated by their unwillingness once again to foment conflict in the city. The reason for the suspension — just a coincidence the name of the host with the name of General Robert E. Lee.
Robert Lee, an American of Asian origin, works on the channel since 1999. While he did not comment on his removal from the airwaves.

The decision of the channel was immediately ridiculed in social networks.
