Grand Prismatic Spring in Wyoming
Located in Yellowstone National Park, this geothermal spring is the largest in the United States and the third largest in the world. Discovered by hunters in 1839, it was named the "boiling lake", whose diameter is 91 meters and a depth of 49. The bright color of the source is given by pigmented bacteria, whose color changes from green to red depending on the season. The Grand Prismatic Spring ejects 2,000 liters of water per minute at a temperature of 71 degrees.

One of the most beautiful parks in the US is located in Calhan, Colorado. This archaeological area is a unique combination of historical, geological and ecological resources. Prairie, badlands and swamps, combined with bizarre painted clay rocks and a complex ecosystem of animals and plants, attract millions of tourists every year. The trails climb over 150 meters and offer stunning views of the area.
Green Lake in New York
The reservoir was formed about 50 thousand years ago from the Vashon Glacier and attracts tourists with its bright emerald color. Its depth is 59 meters. Hidden in a remote area of the Grand Canyon are the Havasu Falls, the largest of which reaches a height of 30 meters. Getting to them is not easy, but it's worth it. Against the backdrop of red mountains, clear azure water acquires an incredible shade due to the content of a large amount of magnesium and calcium. At the foot of the waterfall, whose name in translation means "people of blue-green waters", there is a bright blue travertine pool. No wonder the Havasu Falls are a favorite destination for travelers.
Lake McDonald in Montana
Not far from the border with Canada lies the Glacier National Park, famous for its forests, mountains and glacial lakes, of which there are more than 700. McDonald is one of them. It is located at an altitude of 960 meters above sea level and is the largest in the park. The length of the reservoir is 15 kilometers, the width is 1600 meters, and the maximum depth is 141 meters. The bottom of the lake is covered with multi-colored stones of bizarre, unreal colors. The temperature of the water never rises above 10 degrees Celsius, thanks to which it always remains transparent.
Mendenhall Caverns in Alaska
19 kilometers from the city of Juneau in Alaska is the 12 km long Mendenhall Glacier. It was discovered more than 100 years ago, but the cave hidden under it was discovered relatively recently. It strikes the imagination with its size. Some branches go several hundred meters. The halls near the surface are covered with a thin layer of ice that shines in the rays of the sun. The main part of the cave is located at a depth of 120 meters. Due to the fact that the glacier continues to melt, the structure of the caves is constantly changing, but this does not make it less attractive for adventurers.

The desert, located in the Grand Canyon, is known for its flowers. The most beautiful rainbow hills stretch along the river and form an incredible landscape. The color bands of blue, yellow, lilac and white were first described by Lieutenant Joseph Ives in 1858. The hot desert air lifts colored dust into the air, turning it into a pink or purple mist. The water in it remains clear and clean, and its color changes depending on the weather, temperature and other factors.
Waimea Canyon in Hawaii
The miniature Grand Canyon (as it is often called) is one of the largest in Oceania. Its depth is 900 meters and its length is 16 kilometers. It is located on the island of Kauai, and at its bottom a river flows, on the banks of which the Russian Fortress Elizabeth has been standing since 1817. The canyon, whose name translates as "red water", arose due to water erosion that lasted 5 million years. In its place, there is a state-protected natural park, which is a popular tourist attraction in Hawaii.
Fly Geyser in Nevada
An artificial geyser 1.5 meters high, located at an altitude of 1230 meters above sea level, is located in northwestern Nevada. It constantly changes its color from yellow to red, green or orange. In fact, Fly is not a geyser, but an active thermal spring. It appeared in 1916 when workers cut a well for a well and touched a geothermal pocket. In 1964, boiling water began to spurt out of the geyser. The owners of the ranch in which Fly is located refuse to sell the land, so the attraction is surrounded by a fence and a gate. And tourists need to get permission to visit it.

La Jolla Cove Natural Park is home to sea lions, cats, octopuses, rays, sharks, fish and numerous birds. The water is comfortable for swimming and is so clear that visibility is more than 10 meters. Thanks to this, divers from all over the USA come here. The territory of the bay and wildlife are protected by law. Fishing is prohibited here, as is any swimming equipment. But you can rent a golf cart and explore all the beautiful corners of La Jolla Cove on it.
