Based on the definition, Perpetua is a cape that is located in the Pacific Ocean. It is an integral part of the Siuslaw Forest. It is quite high, 240 meters. Its height and protruding figure into the waters of the ocean allow you to see most of the coast itself. Fifty years ago, people realized that such beauty should not be wasted. It was worth investing in to make the place more attractive to the tourists who would visit it.
The history of this place is intriguing. The discovery of the cape occurred in 1778, when James Cook, sailing on his ship, was looking for how to get out of the Pacific Ocean through the Arctic and get to the North Atlantic. The target was never achieved. He did not find a way out, but the cape remained, and since the captain performed his action on the day of the holy martyr Thevia Perpetua, it was assigned to the cape. By the way, it was possible to overcome the Northwest Passage in the 19th century.

Geyser «Beating Horn». The geyser, located on the cape, is adjacent to the «Thor's Well». The best time to watch it is during storms and high tides. But it is impossible to predict the time of these very phenomena, so the mere presence at Cape Perpetua can be considered a great success.
Thor's Well. This is a 6-meter hole in the ground on the coast. It looks as if the waters sucked in by the tide will never be returned to the surface. Nevertheless, then they are thrown to the surface. There is even a legend explaining the reason for such a name for the geyser.

The lava was so hot that it burned a hole in the ground, whose existence has been recorded to this day. And the body of the deceased was carried away into the depths.

Giant spruce. This is a large, tall tree, 56 meters long, and most likely it is ancient. Giant trees are not uncommon in the world, but this spruce is so powerful and strong that you can easily build a strong house in it. There is a hole on one side under the spruce trunk. It is either cut through, or it was already like that from the beginning. But even a person can fit in it. You will have to walk 3.2 kilometers to it, whose route starts from the visitor center. Numerous flocks of whales, which you can even see if you're lucky.

To enter and start exploring the area, you need to pay five dollars. So much is one session on the cape. Near the parking lot there is a special stand, next to which a box is suspended.
