Hurricane Jose might reach the U.S. coast in a week

Hurricane Jose continues their slow turn above the waters a few hundred miles North of Puerto Rico. Fortunately, this week, are expected home on the land.

Next week Jose can be a threat to the U.S. East coast or Canada. But this prediction is unreliable, because the trajectory of a hurricane in 7 days can significantly change. But Bermuda are close to the edge of the 5-day cone of uncertainty Jose, and the people of this island, it is recommended to follow the movement of the storm.

The forecast intensity for Jose

Hurricane Jose is under strong wind shear, which reduces the power of the elements to the first category, or tropical storm. Satellite images taken Wednesday morning showed that Jose is still characterized by an intense storm, but the storm was asymmetric and deformed due to strong wind shear.

Forecast trajectory Jose

At the moment there are two possible routes by which we might have a hurricane. First: according to the forecast UKMET model, Friday or Saturday could be a shift northward, which will keep Jose from precipitation in the United States this week. The second route: Jose could potentially be in for a long time – weeks or longer – almost in the same place.

Next week the path of hurricane Jose is very difficult to predict. It will probably be a few hundred miles South-East from New England. Large waves from the storm will be able to cause high surf and significant beach erosion along the shores of the Middle Atlantic and New England during this period. Fortunately, at this time, the temperature of the water from new Jersey to Maine are usually below 26° C (79° F) that will not allow the hurricane to grow.
