One of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded in the Caribbean sea, occurred on the evening of 9 January. It was also announced a warning about a tsunami, which, fortunately, was canceled.

As the Associated Press reported, the earthquake epicenter is in the sea at a depth of 10 km, about 125 miles (202 km) North-East of the coast of Honduras.
