Snow storm covered the new Jersey and new York: 1 dead, 100 thousand inhabitants are without light

Snow storm nor’easter with deadly force collapsed the morning of March 8 in new York and new Jersey. Fallen trees and downed power lines — only a fraction of its consequences.

New Jersey nor’easter has claimed a human life: in a burning car parked near high-voltage lines, was found dead by his driver, according to PIX.

The Governor of new Jersey Phil Murphy criticized the power company Jersey Central Power & Light (JCPL) for their unwillingness to invasion nor’easter, which was warned by the meteorologists, and promised to investigate.

Only in new Jersey more than 100 thousand inhabitants remained without electricity. Utilities remove fallen trees and broken power lines as quickly as possible to restore electricity supply in the home.

This is already the second strongest storm during the week and probably not the last. Another storm will sweep along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the night of Sunday, March 11, and in the beginning of next week could reach new York, warns AccuWeather.
