The top of summer: how the Americans cope with the hottest days

The period from July 3 to August 11, often called «the crown of summer«. And the most intense heat is in these days.

In some areas of the US the weather is going to be more merciful than usual. However, the northeast and parts of the Midwest temperatures this weekend will continue to grow.

«In mid-July, the maximum temperature usually varies between 80°F (26°C) and 90°F (32°C),» says AccuWeather meteorologist Paul of Pustelak.

In the Northern States the 32-degree heat will last at least 3 days. If this feels like (heat index) temperature is about 10 degrees more.

In the second half of July, the picture will change gradually. On the Atlantic side of moving weather systems, bringing cool air and high humidity, so the heat will gradually go into decline. The temperature is still comfortable for swimming, active recreation and outdoor clothing, however, some areas of the Midwest will begin heavy rains.

By August of Pustelak expects another heat wave, typical for this month.
