«It’s a disgrace,» Cuomo shamed truck drivers who do not observe the ban

Andrew Cuomo returned to Cheektowaga Thursday to discuss the latest news regarding the snow storm. The Governor began the conference by thanking local officials and the public for a decent job during difficult weather conditions.

Cuomo announced that the County of Livingston has already been recorded death caused by the storm and advised the utilities to make even greater efforts to minimize such cases. Special attention was paid to the drivers of buses and trucks with trailers, which was temporarily forbidden to leave on several Western trails.

«It’s a shame,» said Cuomo about the drivers who violate the ban, and recalled that restrictions on trucks «exist not only for driver safety but for the safety of all others on the road.»

Cuomo said that the accident near Batavia (new York), where he hit at least 20 cars including a police car, was triggered by the driver of one such truck that lost control due to weather conditions.

«Going with Governor Cuomo to check out an accident on I-190 involving a truck with a trailer. I wouldn’t want to be that truck driver,» — wrote the Manager of the Erie County mark Poloncarz on Twitter.
