Manhattanhenge: what it is and what it eats

This morning the American Museum of natural history has announced the dates of a phenomenon, which bears the proud name Manhattanhenge (like Stonehenge, only in Manhattan). The so-called four nights in the year (December, January, may, and July) when the setting or rising Sun visible from the cross streets of Manhattan, parallel to what is laid according to the master plan of the district. These cross streets perpendicular to the Avenue, which are at an angle of 29° to the meridians that make possible a stunningly beautiful view.
