Big waves due to tropical storm «Eugene» reached the coast of southern California in the middle of this week.
«The storm of the third category was formed on Friday, July 7, but it gradually diminishes in dry air», — said the expert AccuWeather hurricane Dan Kottlowski.
As of Tuesday morning, July 11, Eugene is 550 miles southwest of the southern tip of California.
A direct threat on land to Californians it can not be held, but swimmers and boaters can bring trouble because of the strong waves.
The threat is increasing because thousands of people flocked to the beaches in hopes to escape in the water from the extreme heat swept the South-West of the USA.
So, on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 12, on the beaches of the expected heavy waves of up to 6-10 feetand dangerous rip currents. Along the coastline can be small floods.
