French soldiers this morning, 1 October, shot and killed a man after he stabbed two women at the main railway station of Marseille.
About it reports Reuters referring to the Ministry of internal Affairs of France. Some sources of police called the incident a «possible terrorist act».
The source from law enforcement bodies told the news Agency that the man shouted «Allahu Akbar» during the attack.
According to eyewitnesses, the station Gare Saint-Charles , the suspect pulled from his sleeve a knife and first stabbed the girl, then the older woman. French soldiers who were patrolling nearby, arrived on the scene and shot the attacker.
«I immediately sent to the scene,» tweeted interior Minister of France Gerard Colomb.
Police cordoned off the area and urged people to stay away.
France is actually in a state of emergency after numerous attacks by Islamist militants over the past two years, including the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015, which killed 130 people.
And last year, the terrorist sent a truck into the crowd, celebrating the Bastille Day in nice, killing 86 people and injuring dozens of others.
