The head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin ordered the partial removal of Russian troops from Syria.
After an unexpected visit to the air base of Hamim in Syria, the Russian President turned to the head of the General staff with the decree on the return of the military in their locations.
Putin stressed that the armed forces together with the army of Syria defeated the terrorist group ISIS. For this reason, the Russian leader made the decision on the withdrawal of troops.
«We will never forget about the victims and losses suffered in the fight against terror in Syria, we in Russia», — said the head of the Russian Federation.
At the airbase Putin met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and commander in chief of aerospace forces Sergey Surovikina.
