The Iranian military acknowledged that Ukrainian plane was shot down, but blamed the disaster trump and «the adventurism of the United States»

Iran apologized for the incident and said that they will update their system to prevent future tragedies. According to the statement, the perpetrators of the attack on the aircraft will be prosecuted according to law.

«We deeply regret, apologize and sympathy to our people, to the families of all victims and other affected countries», — said the Minister.

Note that the tragedy happened a week after an American drone killed Iranian General Kassem Suleimani in Iraq. The deceased was a national icon, and hundreds of thousands of Iranians staged a funeral procession in his honor throughout the country.

The aircraft of the airline «Ukraine International Airlines», which flew to Kiev, was carrying 167 passengers and nine crew members. Among them were 82 Iranian, 57 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians.
