At an emergency meeting in Beijing, Chinese leader XI Jinping spoke about the need to restrain the coronavirus and create a system to prevent similar epidemics in the future.
According to the head of the state, would establish a national monitoring system risks to Biosafety, «to protect human health» because the security of the laboratories is an issue of «national security.»
He openly acknowledged that the coronavirus, which has killed more than 2,300 people had leaked from one of the laboratories of the country. Another argument is that the only laboratory, which is engaged in the search for the treatment of coronaviruses, is located in Wuhan city which is the epicentre of the epidemic. It’s called the National laboratory Biosafety and is part of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
As reported by nypost, this is not the first case when the viruses outside the labs in China. For example, the deadly SARS virus twice came from Beijing laboratory, where it was used in the experiments. Both «artificial» epidemic was quickly contained, but none of them would have happened if it had taken appropriate security measures.
And some researchers sell their laboratory animals street vendors after the end of the experiments.
